Lesley Reeder, RN, BSN
Lesley’s expertise includes Medicaid and Medicare policy and programs, special needs populations, primary care medical home, long-term care, health care quality and performance measurement.
Consulting activities include performing as a project manager to coordinate care coordinators from different organizations with introduction of a software solution for a community in Western Colorado, supporting quality and monitoring activities for Medicaid and CHP+ product lines for a Colorado-based health plan, and providing direction for community based care coordination efforts for Medicaid clients living in Northern Colorado.
Prior to her work with the Steadman Group, Lesley was the Chief Nursing Officer for a company that included a Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), several home care agencies, and a care coordination service business. She was responsible for the Safety & Loss and Quality Departments, and was executive lead on regulatory requirements, compliance activities and clinical nursing policies across each line of service.
Lesley also was senior manager of Medicaid contracts at a Colorado-based health plan. Here she developed a new product line for complex Medicaid adults with chronic physical and behavioral health needs, which included a multi-disciplinary, team-based care coordination approach. Lesley also worked at the State of Colorado’s Medicaid agency in Quality Improvement and Long Term Care. Areas of expertise included: medical home models of care, payment reform to promote improved quality and lower costs of care and long term care supports and services. Lesley is a registered nurse with an active license. She has a Bachelor of Arts and Biology from the University of Colorado, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Regis University. She is currently pursuing an MBA-Health Administration from the University of Colorado Denver.
